Piccatta Combat Solutions

Company Info

Piccatta is an arms dealer that focuses on quantity over quality; while its products are not 'street treats', they are typically supplied with minimal features and glitz, focusing mostly on low-priced munition-grade stock weaponry that can be produced quickly in large numbers. Piccatta close combat weaponry is often seen in use by police and security forces, as is their projectile and energy weapon arms by departments on a budget. They typically do not include accessory rails, ID pads, or other fringe benefits.

Streetnopsis

You say Piccatta, I say get a bigger gun. Seriously, if you're a gangbanger these are probably just fine for your purposes, but if you want respect or just want something that doesn't feel like it came from a dollar store, you're going to want to shop elsewhere.

Corporate Analysis

Piccatta is typically used to outfit security and police forces that are budget-oriented; their weapons get the job done, without trimming too much off the bottom line, and don't accept 'tacticool' accessories that take away from combat effectiveness. With that out of the way, it's definitely a case of 'you get what you pay for', as Piccatta weaponry does have a slightly higher than average chance of jamming or malfunctioning under long-term wear and tear.

Product Line

Piccatta products are typically classified as 'good' firearms, with the exception of occasional minor penalties (lower accuracy or damage, or higher Malf rates); for this performance loss, as well as for the loss of 'standard accessories' normally included in the cost of weapons, they usually also cost at least 20% less than their 'standard' counterparts, and sometimes significantly less than that. Despite this, they aren't extremely bad products, as Piccatta actually does design and test their products carefully to ensure that the failure rate isn't too unacceptably high.
