Investigator's Handbook: Foreword
The objectives of Post-Atlantic Acquisitions are two-fold - to discern the secrets of the paranormal and occult, and to protect the citizens of the world from the predations of these unusual, if not necessarily supernatural, things. To accomplish both of these, I have hired you as agents of my will - to explore the unexplored, protect the defenseless, and learn what must be learned. Those of you I have chosen, I trust to carry out these things with the necessary secrecy and discretion that meddling in the occult often engenders.
