You are a television host broadcasting on the ship's TVs for all to hear. You also have the ability to listen in on department radios to hear what's really going on aboardship, as well as the Interview Room, a room where the three media outlets meet to interview people, the Green Room, where guests can relax and wait for their turn to be on television, and a TV Room for broadcasting your episodes on. Thanks to this, you don't need to run around much and can focus on TV hosting. However, you may request a Press Pass from the department heads to enter their department for some live reporting.
Bare minimum requirements: Entertain the crew with quality television programming.
Tips
- As TV host, most of your time will be spent in the TV Room. Spend some time getting acquainted with the equipment before you make your first broadcast, let alone think about chasing down a story.
- Some of the televisions around the ship are pre-tuned to your channel, particularly areas that Civilians frequent. Requesting interviews may get them lining up at your door.
- As one of the mass media trio, your position during rounds depends highly on what's going on. If you're not an antagonist, you should work to inform the crew about the threat inhabiting the ship. Barring that, try passing on some of the information in the wiki. “Tonight on Bartending and You – popular drinks and how to make them,” or “Wild Galaxy Productions presents the Changeling,” are two examples. You can also refer to Newscasters and broadcast further information on the topics covered within. Just remember that television is a privilege, not a right.
Traitor
TV Host Traitor is a mixed bag. On the positive side, you may be able to get any access you want just by asking and promising a good story; on the negative side, those who provided you access may well come knocking when they realize you were at the scene of the crime, and you are more conspicuous.
