- Quote: “Can I quote you on that?” – Dan Benito, Journalist
You are a journalist working for the Free Press, and have the responsibility of finding interesting stories to write about aboardships. It is wise to announce your presence at the beginning of the shift, so that people know who you are when you ask for an interview. You may need to request a Press Pass from the department heads before venturing into their territory.
Bare minimum requirements: Find interesting stories. Publish the truth, or your version thereof. Don't get in the crew's way.
Tips
- Journalism is all about getting the hottest stories and may involve being in the middle of the action. First, get a press pass from the appropriate department. Then, if you are going into active danger, acquire proper protective gear as necessary.
- Your printing press allows you to print out your stories en masse, and gives you access to a special Newscaster channel. It occasionally runs out of ink or paper, requiring you to request toner cartridges or reams of paper. You should begin with both available in the Press Room.
Traitor
Journalist Traitor is a mixed bag. On the positive side, you may be able to get any access you want just by asking and promising a good story; on the negative side, those who provided you access may well come knocking when they realize you were at the scene of the crime.
