Survivor Katie and Fallout NV

So I've been playing Fallout New Vegas lately, and it's gotten me in the mood to make my own stuff for it, scavenge existing stuff for it, and generally build my own take on the game experience. So this is my space for notes on ideas of mods I'd like to build or combine.

Recharge Your Batteries

As we see in later Fallout games, power cells can be recharged; this just makes it actually work in Fallout 3. Ideas include a portable version you can use on the go, and a workbench version you can use in your player house, as well as an industrial variant located in certain power plants and businesses, and a Red Rocket variant that requires no service from you to get working, but costs Pre-War Money to useā€¦

The most logical items to 'recharge' with such a station would be Energy Cells, Electron Charge Packs, and Microfusion Cells. Fission batteries would be an ideal component to build a recharger with, as they appear to be built as independent power sources. Alien weaponry would logically be incompatible, and Mesmetron cells seem to be custom-built for the gadget and therefore likely not safe to recharge.

Power Types

Fission Battery: This is supposedly functional as a self-contained power source, equivalent to a small generator. One fission battery can provide power to a house or other reasonably small building without requiring a power grid, or power a single high-power-using machine or robot for an indefinite period of time. They act as continuous power sources and cannot be drained through normal means. Fission batteries are used when building a railway rifle, and restoring power to items like the express elevator at the Statesman Hotel.

Energy Cell: This standard energy cell is used as ammunition by low-powered energy weapons, as well as a lightweight short-term power source for machinery. It is likely

Electron Charge Pack: Used in high powered / rapidfire weapons like the gatling laser.

Microfusion Cell: Used in certain very high powered single or low-'magazine' weapons.

Microfusion Breeder: Introduced in New Vegas, this is essentially a self-recharging power cell.
