Job Type: Research
You have been assigned to the robotics division
of Maxwell #13-(designator)! Your job is to
conduct research, build cyborgs, install the
brains of volunteers or deceased crew into
cyborgs, and build robots that will be
responsible for assisting with crew activities
and functions. You are also responsible for
handling any incidents of rogue Cyborgs,
providing and developing cybernetic upgrades to
improve crew efficiency, and developing cyborg
modules to increase their utility.
Access: Robotics, Medical Bay
As accidents can incapacitate or kill crew
members, you are expected to get them back up
and working by installing their brains into
working Cyborgs when possible, as well as to
make robots that actively work to service the
space station and provide support to the crew.
With this in mind, you may be called to remove
bodies from the Medical Bay for conversion, or
you may have volunteers who are seeking to
improve their ability to perform their duties
via Cyborgization.
Responsibilities: Service Through Robotics
Note that any Cyborgs you develop will be in
contact with the station's AI, if one is
active, and will be subject to the same laws
and protocols as it is; this can be
advantageous if the AI is cooperative or
properly programmed, or problematic if the AI
is displaying signs of interference,
modification, or rogue behavior. You may wish
to work with Engineering and security to handle
signs of an AI/Cyborg uprising.
