Job Type: Civilian
It might not be the most glamorous position,
but the role of janitor is vital to keeping
operations running smoothly on a well-organized
space station. Janitors are responsible for
cleaning up grime, muck, and other
unpleasantries that might get on floors, walls,
ceilings, or people in the course of a regular
day aboard the station, as well as for
conducting basic repairs on broken lights and
machinery.
Access: Janitor's Closet, Maintenance
Aside from having maintenance-level access
stationwide, you have access to a janitorial
closet that holds all the equipment needed to
do your job with pride, from the lowly mop and
bucket used for cleaning floors to bottles of
wonder-cleaner for spraying down stubborn
stains to cleanser grenades for making an
entire area spic and span!
Responsibilities: Keep Things Tidy
Your job is to wander the station, cleaning
messes where you find them. Don't forget to put
down wet floor signs when you're mopping,
though - wet floors are slippery, especially to
those who don't have a set of galoshes and
hazmat gear like you do. The Cafeteria, Bar,
and crew areas are the most likely to get messy
in a hurry. If you run out of work and nobody
is calling for cleanup, see if you can replace
some broken lights or do some basic repairs.
Engineering will surely thank you.
