About World's End: World's End Post Office

The World's End Post Office is, like many of the buildings in town, small by outward appearances. The windows are covered with faded advertisements for shipping rates and stamps. Cheerful green awnings provide some protection from the elements, most of the time. Conventionally enough, mailboxes stand in a line on the sidewalk out front, labeled 'Local', 'International“ and 'Interdimensional'. Arranged next to them are perches, also labeled 'Local', 'International', and 'Interdimensional'. In addition, post-persons work irregular routes throughout World's End, delivering incoming mail and collecting outgoing mail as they go.

Behind the tiny building is a smaller version of the post office itself, except for the large glassless arches where the windows and doors should be. This is the owlery, a small building where a family of messenger owls lives. These owls work for specific households that have requested private service rather than working for the town at large, and offer direct delivery between the household and their intended message recipient.
