Shield is a very old warforged, juggernaught class, eight feet tall and built for protection, their only weapon being a shield. They have taken up residence training the militia of Malone, and eventually Jesterfield. They are stoic and quiet, but also tend to be wise, and good too talk to with heavy problems.

They are especially fond of Tomiko, and follow her wherever it is sensible to do so. Which is not many places, as Tomiko tends to go on sneaky operations.
