====== Characteristics ====== Every character starts with nine basic attributes that tell all about the character - Heart, Wisdom, Intelligence, Health, Strength, Charisma, Agility, and Perception. ===== Primary Attributes ===== ^ Attribute ^ Skills ^ Information ^ | Heart | Art, Music | Developed through actions that emphasize mercy and compassion, your revolutionary's Heart determines their overall sense of hope and optimism, and is vital for a good activist. | | Wisdom | -- | Developed through actions that emphasize self-preservation and coldheartedness, Wisdom is a measure of a person's cynical and self-serving nature, and a high Wisdom generally denotes someone who will turn on you for their own benefit, or who may be resistant to your Heartfelt speeches. | | Intelligence | Science, Psychology | Developed through actions that emphasize intellectual stimulation, Intelligence measures your character's mental dexterity and acuity. Highly intelligent characters are more capable of engaging in witty debates and understanding complex principles. | | Health | -- | Developed through actions that emphasize endurance, Health measures a character's overall resistance to injury, disease, and trauma. Healthy characters recover from injuries more quickly and take less severe injuries overall. | | Strength | -- | Developed through actions that emphasize strength, Strength measures your character's ability to move things around, hit things, and generally exert force. | | Charisma | Persuasion, Seduction | Developed through social interactions, Charisma measures your character's ability to talk to others without conflicts, and to convince others to do what you want. | | Agility | Weaponskills | Developed through actions that train physical dexterity, Agility is a measure of your character's gracefulness and accuracy. | | Perception | -- | Developed through actions that focus on watchfulness and observation, Perception measures your character's ability to notice subtleties of an environment, which may give advance warning of hazards and provide bonuses if the character is observant enough. | Attributes level up and develop much more slowly than skills. There is no set maximum, though there are diminishing gains as you go further up. Skills, however, can't develop beyond your current level in an attribute. Note many of the following skills can be increased by taking courses at the University, by speaking with others who know them, and through interrogations. EXAMPLE: Hippie Bob tries to convince Lawyer Dan to join the Liberal Crime Squad by talking about the issues. Dan has knowledge of Law, so Bob learns more about Law during their discussions.
