A mysterious illness has afflicted Prudence at various points throughout her life. She has been homeschooled by her parents, avid Humans First members and devout Christians who see vampires as humanity's punishment from God and something they must spiritually and physically fight against.

This past year, Prudence's illness has been increasingly incapacitating. Her family is encouraging her to have a meaningful death for the cause.

Update:

It turned out that Pru's parents had been poisoning her with arsenic. Unbeknownst to Prudence, her mother has Munchausen by Proxy syndrome, and thrived on all the special attention like prayer vigils the church held for her daughter.

When father found out, mother claimed the arsenic was to make her blood poisonous to vampires which he as an avid Humans First member got on board with.

Prudence is now safely living with her boyfriend Vincent and is recovering while working as a website content developer.
