====== The Art of Wartortle ====== Long before the invasive lifeforms known as Pokemon were domesticated, people were working out how to get them to kill their enemies. In the modern era, much is already well known about these beasts of mass destruction, and those who are ranked highly as Trainers are often recruited by governments or corporate entities to guide their progress. Likewise, there are many who use Pokemon as weapons of war rather than for fun, fair challenges. Exploding Golem bombs that can be launched from catapults or dropped from bombers, then recovered and returned to service by ground forces; Scythers cutting through soldiers like blades of grass; warriors armed with Aegislash in one hand and a pistol in the other, charging into battle; fields choked with poison gas from Koffings; warriors may have different weapons, but war never changes. Outside of the Tournament world, combat can become vicious or even lethal for those involved, and the enemy isn't about to pull any punches because their opponent is a twelve-year-old child prodigy. ===== Non-Pokemon Weaponry ===== Despite the existence of Pokemon in modern society, civilization had ways of harming and killing others well before their arrival, and continued to develop methods that didn't rely on the fickle desires of intelligent monsters well afterwards. Some weaponry is based on principles of Pokemon attacks, such as energy cannons based on electrical Pokemon attacks.
