This condition can be the result of contact with strange and dangerous arcane energy, be it from an item, a spell, or even a mystical ritual. Arcane radiation doesn’t often last for long, and isn’t dangerous in and of itself, but when triggered by other magical effects, it reacts in harmful ways. An irradiated creature takes 1d6 force damage whenever affected by a spell or magical effect. This condition cannot be resisted, it can only be mitigated with external protection. A creature can be affected by this condition multiple times, in which case they take an additional d6 force damage for each radiation stack they carry, up to a maximum of 5d6. This condition is meant to last for small periods of time, generally no more than 10 or 15 minutes, prolonged only when in direct contact with dangerous magic. An ancient artifact, a powerful spell, a strange creature’s aura. Magic is dangerous! Use this condition to illustrate that.
